Hey there,
So last night I was playing with my cat when my father came to inform me that the police were at the gate inquiring about me. Apparently, the driver I had hailed a ride from thought I stole his phone. My father was concerned that the police would pin it on me to make their own jobs easier. But I was pleasantly surprised to see the police were just following up on leads and you know… doing their job.
In the end, I gave my statement and was let go with an apology for having been bothered at all. I was shocked because I've always heard that the Punjab police is notorious for slacking off. And I can't help but wonder if maybe this is another victory for Naya Pakistan?
Ever since Imran Khan was sworn into office, people have become hopeful about seeing a Naya and better Pakistan. We've been talking about the goings on in Naya Pakistan, both good and bad quite a lot at MangoBaaz and we thought we'd share some of these conversations with you.
And as for my hope for Naya Pakistan? I have my fingers crossed.
